I have been a loyal user of Degree antiperspirant/deodorant for about 8 years. I've used the solid stick type with the Sport scent. At various times over the years Degree has tweaked the packaging and the product line and it has been difficult to find the one I use. First there was the gel play-doh like push-upthrough the holes trend then there was the invisible solid. All I wanted was the regular stick. The stuff really works as advertised - when you start to sweat or get overheated you notice the scent of the deodorant released through some sort of chemical reaction. And then I just like the Sport scent.
Now it seems (see picture) Degree may be
trying to chase the success of Axe body spray with new "trendy" scent names like "Clean Slate" and "Pure Energy" while my Degree Sport stick is (again) nowhereto be found. Hopefully I can find some contact info for the manufacturer so I can submit a formal inquiry/complaint. Maybe they'll send me a case of the stuff ... Or just tell me what supermarket still has some inventory of the good old stuff.
Quite simply I don't like your current ad. It encourages disrespect.
Why not just say "If you don't want to stink, use our deordorant."
Tell you boss where to go, tell your mother in law ..... not clever.
There are ad agencies who can create wonderful entertaining ads that will sell your product without trying to incite,
insult, or disrespect others.
